THE SHELF CONVERSATION

THE SHELF CONVERSATION is a podcast created by Kwame Osei Owusu, a clinical pharmacist, a speaker and a mental health advocate. Throughout his seven (7) years of active advocating on social media and online conference talks, Kwame sits down to make it interactive with other experts to hold a conversation on mental health through SHELF. * Speaking about Mental Health and associated Disorders: Emphasising that mental health is a normal part of overall health and encouraging people to share their experiences. This could be done through group discussions, storytelling events, or social media campaigns. * Healing from Trauma through Help: Providing information about mental health resources available in the community. This could include hotlines, support groups, therapy options, and self-care tips. * Educating Audience : Demystifying and myth-bursting hearsay surrounding mental health disorders. * Leading the Conversation : Creating a safe space for people to talk about their struggles without judgment. This is done through active listening skills. * Fighting against The Stigma : Combating the stigma surrounding mental health. Making it clear that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Overall, The SHELF CONVERSATION has the potential to be a powerful tool for raising awareness about mental health and encouraging people to seek help.
